Unlike with humans, there are no ambulances for pets, no home help team, no hospices and no specially trained nurses to help pet parents with the emotional side of a pet emergency. It can be a time that pet parents feel very alone and left with decisions and care that are extremely difficult.
This list was put together after my own pet emergency to cover all the things I would want to make sure I thought of should I be in this situation again. It includes ways to help make decisions when you are very stressed, caring for your pet at home, and other considerations.
